Raspberry Pi CPU Temperature

Normal CPU temperature is around 40-41 degrees. When placed in full sun with no casing and taking a photograph every 20 seconds the temperature hovers around 48-51 deg.C The temperature rise at the end, seems to be due to a low battery voltage?
